Gov Okorocha Says Nobody Above 50 Years Will Be Imo State Gov Again.

The Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, has declared that nobody above 50 years of age will succeed him as Governor of the state.

The Governor spoke in Owerri, the state capital, as a Special Guest of Honor at the occasion marking the beginning of the 2016/2017 legal year in the state.
Okorocha noted that the governorship position of the state in 2019 would not be for people who were above 50 years age bracket.

According to the Governor, “Mike Ahamba, SAN, did not attack me today. This is unlike him, it may be because he wants to be governor in 2019, but let me advise him not to contest because nobody above 50 will be governor in Imo again.”

He noted that politicians above 50 years had at one time or the other brought hardship on the people.
Okorocha said politicians below the age bracket who had the genuine desires to make the state better should be given the chance.
